The Unimwaane Association in Butaritari, known as Tekinati, along with the Butaritari Islanders and the China Railway First Group, held a celebration to congratulate His Excellency President Taneti Maamau on his return to the presidency following the national election.
The event took place at the China Railway First Group campsite in Antakana on Monday, November 4.
Butaritari Clerk, Tebobora Taenibeia told radio Kiribati news that during the ceremony, a song composed dedicated to the President was performed by the Korokota Group from Tanimaiaki.
The event was attended by a range of notable figures, including President Taneti Maamau and his team, Bishop Simon Mani, parishioners, judges, Unimwaane, councilors, and MPs.
