In his remarks, Counselor Zhao Jian highlighted the important role the traffic lights will play in improving road safety for both vehicles and pedestrians at this busy intersection.
He emphasized that the traffic lights will be crucial in ensuring smoother traffic flow and enhancing public safety.
KLTA CEO Beeni Ikauea described the handover as a significant milestone in the country’s road safety efforts.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Transport Aoniba Riare, Betio Town Council (BTC) Mayor Tetabo Teatata, KLTA Board Chair Mareke Tekarika, and other officials.
