Twelve duplex houses built by the Kiribati Housing Corporation were officially opened last Thursday.

Six of the duplexes are located between the Office of the President and Te Rurubao Primary School, while the other six are situated across from Taken Bairiki Primary School.

In his remarks, President Taneti Maamau congratulated the fortunate recipients, who are government civil servants dedicated to the country’s development.

Following the official ceremony, nine civil servants were handed their house keys and are now ready to move into their brand-new homes.
