The Kiribati Judiciary has officially welcomed it new Executive Director Nei Atanrubeieta Riakaina Yeeting, who will serve as the head of the Corporate Service Division within the Judiciary.
A statement from the Kiribati Judiciary said Mrs Riakaina made history as the first woman to hold this esteemed position.
At the formal swearing -in ceremony, Mrs Riakaina took an oath to uphold the values of integrity, efficiency and professionalism in supporting the Judiciary’s operations.
Chief Justice of Kiribati Mrs Tetiro Semilota congratulated Mrs Riakaina on her appointment, highlighting that her leadership will be instrumental in further enhancing the integrity and efficiency of the Judicial system.
Tetiro noted that this appointment not only acknowledges Mrs Riakaina’s exceptional professional qualifications, but also underscores Kiribati’s ongoing efforts to empower women in leadership positions.
