Two saloon cars were involved in an accident at the speed hump near the Broadcasting and Publications Authority in Bairiki this morning.
Eyewitness Mataneia Mataua told Radio Kiribati News that a woman driving with children was heading to Bikenibueu when her vehicle was struck by another saloon car, reportedly driven by a police officer heading to Betio.
Mataneia stated that he saw the car coming from Bikenibueu cross over to the opposite side of the road, where it collided with the woman’s car.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
However, police have stated that an investigation is ongoing in relation to the incident.
