Atinta Tariraoii (more than 20 years old), was found dead following an incident last Friday in Takoronga Betio.

A family member who spoke with Radio Kiribati News reported that the incident occurred in a neighboring house in the early evening.

The family member stated they initially heard what they believed to be a domestic dispute coming from the nearby residence. They decided not to intervene, assuming it was simply a couple arguing. However, they later saw an individual leaving the house without visible signs of distress.

Upon entering the residence, the family member discovered Atinta Tariraoi deceased, with evidence of strangulation. The family promptly contacted both the hospital and Police Services for invetigations.
