A newly elected female MP for TUC, Ruth Cross Kwansing, has confirmed her decision to join the Tobwaan Kiribati Party.

In a statement posted on her official Facebook page, Kwansing shared that after prayer, careful analysis, and discussions with members of various parties in Parliament, she felt satisfied that all her concerns were addressed.

Kwansing also mentioned that during her meeting with President Taaneti Maamau, she experienced a personal revelation, which moved her to tears, leading her to commit to joining the Tobwaan Kiribati Party.

She further stated that in her meetings with her constituents, including leaders from different parties, she is convinced that this is the best platform to fulfill her promises and commitment to representing the best interests of her people through a focus on Peace, Health, and Prosperity.
